Steve Appleby's Weather for Pigeon Fanciers
The British Barcelona Club is at Bordeaux today for their final Old Bird race of the season. Examining the line of flight shows a clear flight path all the way through France to the English Channel. Any fears of fog having developed over night at the race point were soon dismissed as Nigel Rigani reported good conditions. The Met office gives a clear Channel just some patchy coastal fog which will soon dissipate as the sun climbs up. Winds very light over France from the northeast indicating speeds of 2 to 5 mph. Over the Channel again winds light from the east early on changing to northeast by the afternoon. So to conclude an excellent day for racing from France.
