Richard Green both suggested and very generously volunteered to organise this race. The charity to benefit has not yet been established but Richard would like it to be something small and local so that the money raised can really count. Further details will be announced soon.

The final figures for the entry to this race is 199 members have sent 1,693+4 birds (Richard forgot to include his own).

We are all indebted to Richard Green for suggesting and organising this race which has proved, from the entry, to be a great success despite the problems this season has seen. On behalf of both the Club and all its members I would like to publically thank him for his initiative, work and dedication to us all.

Richard has passed this message:  “Please extend my personal thanks to all the members of the BBC for their help at yesterday’s marking especially at Salisbury where everything went so smooth.”

“Good evening members this is Richard Green the organiser of the Fougeres Charity National just to let you know that the 1697 birds entered in the National arrived safely at the race point and this line will be updated at 0800 in the morning hopefully with news of liberation.”
